මංගල පොලිසියට භාරවෙයි
UNP Matara District Parliamentarian Mangala Samaraweera surrendered to the Matara police a short while ago through his lawyers. Former Matara District MP and Devundara UNP organizer H.R. Wimalasiri also surrendered to police along with Samaraweera.
Police said they are currently recording statements from both men. The Matara Magistrate yesterday issued arrest warrants for Mangala Samaraweera and 11 others in connection with the clashes that took place between two rival factions of the UNP in Matara town on October 5.
එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයේ මාතර දිස්ත‍්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත‍්‍රී මංගල සමරවීර මහතා මාතර මූලස්ථාන පොලීසියට මීට ටික වේලාකට පෙර භාරවී තිබේ. මේ වනවිට ඔවුන්ගෙන් ප‍්‍රකාශ සටහන් කරගැනීමේ කටයුතු සිදුකෙරෙමින් පවතින බව පොලිසිය පවසයි.
මංගල සමරවීර මන්ත‍්‍රීවරයා සමඟ මාතර දිස්ත‍්‍රික් හිටපු පාර්ලිමේතු මන්ත‍්‍රී සහ දෙවිනුවර එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂ ප‍්‍රධාන සංවධායක එච්.ආර්. විමලසිරි මහතා, බලපිටිය එජාප සංවිධායක නීතිඥ කමල් ජයන්ත සොයිසා මහතා ද පොලීසියට භාරවිය.
